प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने संसद के दोनों सदनों से वक्फ (संशोधन) विधेयक और मुसलमान वक्फ (निरसन) विधेयक पारित होने की आज प्रशंसा की है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह सामाजिक–आर्थिक न्याय, पारदर्शिता और समावेशी विकास की हमारी सामूहिक खोज में एक महत्वपूर्ण क्षण है।
प्रधानमंत्री ने सोशल मीडिया एक्स पर एक पोस्ट में लिखा:
“संसद के दोनों सदनों से वक्फ (संशोधन) विधेयक और मुसलमान वक्फ (निरसन) विधेयक पारित होना सामाजिक–आर्थिक न्याय, पारदर्शिता और समावेशी विकास की हमारी सामूहिक खोज में एक महत्वपूर्ण क्षण है। इससे विशेष रूप से उन लोगों को सहायता मिलेगी जो लंबे समय से हाशिये पर रहने के साथ उन्हें आवाज और अवसर दोनों से वंचित रखा गया है।“
“संसदीय और समिति चर्चाओं में भाग लेने वाले सभी सांसदों का आभार, जिन्होंने अपने दृष्टिकोण व्यक्त किए और इन कानूनों को मजबूत बनाने में योगदान दिया। संसदीय समिति को अपने बहुमूल्य सुझाव भेजने वाले अनगिनत लोगों का भी विशेष आभार। एक बार फिर, व्यापक बहस और संवाद के महत्व की पुष्टि हुई है।“
“दशकों से वक्फ व्यवस्था पारदर्शिता और उत्तरदायित्व की कमी का पर्याय रही है। इससे विशेष रूप से मुस्लिम महिलाओं, गरीब मुसलमानों और पसमांदा मुसलमानों के हितों को नुकसान पहुंचा है। संसद से पारित कानून पारदर्शिता को बढ़ावा देंगे और लोगों के अधिकारों की रक्षा भी करेंगे।”
“अब हम एक ऐसे युग में प्रवेश करेंगे जहां व्यवस्था अधिक आधुनिक और सामाजिक न्याय के प्रति संवेदनशील होगी। व्यापक रूप से, हम प्रत्येक नागरिक की गरिमा को प्राथमिकता देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं। इसी तरह हम एक मजबूत, अधिक समावेशी और अधिक सहानुभूति रखने वाले भारत का निर्माण भी कर सकते हैं।”

For decades, the Waqf system was synonymous with lack of transparency and accountability. This especially harmed the interests of Muslim women, poor Muslims, Pasmanda Muslims. The legislations passed by Parliament will boost transparency and also safeguard people’s rights.
