The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today met and interacted with the winners of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2019.
The children explained in detail, their special achievements, and shared their inspirational stories.
The Prime Minister appreciated and congratulated the award winners for their achievements.
He said that these awards offer an opportunity for recognition of talented children, and serve as inspiration for others like them.
The Prime Minister urged the extra-ordinarily gifted children to stay connected with nature.
He shared some light and informal moments with the children who also requested him for autographs.
Background
The Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awards have been given in two categories: Bal Shakti Puraskar to individuals; and Bal Kalyan Puraskar to institutions/individuals working for children.
A total of 783 applications were received for the Bal Shakti Puraskar this year. The Ministry for Women and Child Development selected 26 awardees for Bal Shakti Puraskar, under the category of innovation, scholastic, sports, arts & culture, social service and bravery. The National Selection Committee also finalized the names of 2 individuals and 3 institutions for Bal Kalyan Puraskar.
The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the creation of National Bench of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT).
The National Bench of the Appellate Tribunal shall be situated at New Delhi. GSTAT shall be presided over by the President and shall consist of one Technical Member (Centre) and one Technical Member (State).
The creation of the National Bench of the GSTAT would amount to one time expenditure of Rs.92.50 lakh while the recurring expenditure would be Rs.6.86 crore per annum.

Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal is the forum of second appeal in GST laws and the first common forum of dispute resolution between Centre and States. The appeals against the orders in first appeals issued by the Appellate Authorities under the Central and State GST Acts lie before the GST Appellate Tribunal, which is common under the Central as well as State GST Acts. Being a common forum, GST Appellate Tribunal will ensure that there is uniformity in redressal of disputes arising under GST, and therefore, in implementation of GST across the country.
Chapter XVIII of the CGST Act provides for the Appeal and Review Mechanism for dispute resolution under the GST Regime. Section 109 of this Chapter under CGST Act empowers the Central Government to constitute, on the recommendation of Council, by notification, with effect from such date as may be specified therein, an Appellate Tribunal known as the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal for hearing appeals against the orders passed by the Appellate Authority or the Revisional Authority.
PM Visits Yaad-e-Jallian Museum, Museum on 1857 and Drishyakala Museum in Delhi All 4 Museums named as Kranti Mandir
Remembering the heroes of freedom struggle, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi paid floral tributes and inaugurated the Subhas Chandra Bose museum at Red Fort today, to mark his 122nd birth anniversary.
He visited the Museum on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Indian National Army. PM said, ‘I bow to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his Jayanti. He was a stalwart who committed himself towards ensuring India is free and leads a life of dignity. We are committed to fulfilling his ideals and creating a strong India.’ He also added that History echoes from these walls. In this very building, brave sons of India, Colonel Prem Sahgal, Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon and Major General Shah Nawaz Khan were put on trial by the colonial rulers. He glanced over the photographs depicting a detailed account of Subhas Chandra Bose and the history of Indian National Army. PM also saw some of the artefacts associated with Netaji and INA such as wooden chair and sword used by Netaji, medals, badges and uniforms of INA.
The Prime Minister browsed at the photographs, paintings and newspaper clippings depicting the authentic account of Jallianwala Bagh massacre showcased in the Yaad-e-Jallian Museum. The museum intends to take visitors through the history of Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919 and sacrifices made by Indian soldiers during World War-1.
He also visited the Museum on 1857- India’s first war of Independence and saw the portrayal the historical narrative of 1857 war of independence, showcasing the valour and sacrifices made by Indians during the period. These museums to showcase the sacrifice of our freedom fighters.
Prime Minister had a look at the Exhibition on Indian Art at the Drishyakala- Museum organized at the same venue. He said ‘To see Gurudev Tagore’s works at Drishyakala is a treat for art lovers. We all know Gurudev Tagore as a prolific writer but he also had a strong link with the world or art. He produced lots of works, featuring multiple themes. Gurudev’s works were also exhibited internationally.’ He also tweeted ‘I would specially urge art lovers to visit Drishyakala, which will take you through the finest aspects of Indian art and culture. Works of eminent Indian artists like Raja Ravi Varma, Gurudev Tagore, Amrita Sher-Gil, Abanindranath Tagore, Nandlal Bose, Gaganendranath Tagore, Sailoz Mookherjea amd Jamini Roy are on display at the exhibition.’
PM while inaugurating the museums said that, it was extremely humbling to inaugurate four museums relating to India’s rich history and culture. All four museums have been named as Kranti Mandir. This complex includes Museums on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army, Yaad-e-Jallian Museum (on Jallianwala Bagh and World War 1), Museum on 1857- India’s First War of Independence and Drishyakala Museum on Indian Art, spanning three centuries, with over 450 works of art!
Kranti Mandir is a tribute to the revolutionary zeal and courage of our great freedom fighters. Ahead of the Republic Day, these will deepen the connect between our glorious history and our youth as well as add to the patriotic fervour among citizens.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated Centers of Excellence at Deen Dayal Hastkala Sankul in Varanasi.
Arriving at the venue directly from the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations, the Prime Minister unveiled a plaque to mark the inauguration of 55 outlets which would serve as Centers of Excellence at the Hastkala Sankul, which is a complex dedicated to the handicrafts of the region.
He walked through the various galleries of the Textiles Museum, before arriving at the Amphitheatre at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul.
Here, he released two books titled: (a) Kashi: The Universe of Crafts and Textiles (b) Indian Textiles: History, Splendour, Grandeur.
He also unveiled a plaque to mark the inauguration of an Integrated Textile Office Complex, at Chowkaghat in Varanasi.

सबसे पहले आप सभी का बहुत-बहुत अभिनंदन, बहुत-बहुत स्वागत है। आप सभी यहां अपनी, अपने पूर्वजों की मिट्टी की महक से खींचे चले आए हैं। कल जिन्हें प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मान मिलने वाला है। उन्हें मैं अपनी तरफ से अग्रिम शुभकामनाएं देता हूं। आज का दिन मेरे लिए भी विशेष है। जैसा कि सुषमा जी कह रही थी, मैं आपके सामने प्रधानमंत्री के साथ-साथ काशी का सांसद होने के नाते एक मेज़बान के रूप में उपस्थित हुआ। बाबा विश्वनाथ और मां गंगा का आशीर्वाद आप सभी पर बना रहा मेरी यही प्रार्थना है।
साथियों, आज आपसे अपनी बात शुरू करने से पहले मैं डॉक्टर श्री श्री श्री शिवकुमार स्वामी जी के निधन पर अपना शोक व्यक्त करना चाहता हूं। तुमकुर के श्री सिद्ध गंगा मठ में मुझे कई बार उनसे आशीर्वाद लेने का अवसर मिला था। और जब भी उनसे मिलता था वो एक बेटे की तरह मुझे इतना स्नेह करते थे, इतना आशीर्वाद देते थे। ऐसे महान संत महाऋषि का जाना हम सभी के लिए बहुत दु:खद है, मानव कल्याण के लिए उनके योगदान को देश हमेशा याद रखेगा। मैं आदरपूर्वक उन्हें नमन करता हूं। उनको श्रद्धांजलि देता हूं।
भाईयों और बहनों, दुनियाभर में बसे आप सभी भारतीयों से संवाद का यह अभियान हम सभी के प्रिय श्रद्धेय अटल बिहार वाजपेयी जी ने शुरू किया था। अटल जी के जाने के बाद यह पहला प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मेलन है। इस अवसर पर मैं अटल जी को श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित करता हूं, उनकी इस विराट सोच के लिए नमन करता हूं।
साथियों, आप सभी काशी में है और इसलिए मैं काशी और आप सभी में एक समानता भी देख रहा हूं। बनारस नगरी चिरकाल से ही भारत की सांस्कृतिक, अध्यात्मिक और ज्ञान की परंपरा से दुनिया में देश का परिचय कराती रही है। आप भी अपने दिलों में भारत और भारतीयता को संजोये हुए इस धरती की ऊर्जा उससे दुनिया को परिचित करा रहे हैं। साथियों, मैं आपको भारत का Brand Ambassador मानने के साथ ही भारत के सामर्थ्य और भारत की क्षमताओं, देश की विशेषताओं का प्रतिनिधि भी और प्रतीक भी मानता हूं। इसलिए ही आप अभी जिस देश में भी रह रहे हैं, वहां के समाज को भी आपने अपनापन दिया है। वहां की संस्कृति और अर्थव्यवस्था को समृद्ध किया है। आपने ‘वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम’ इस भारतीय दर्शन का हमारे पारिवारिक मूल्यों का विस्तार किया है। आप सभी जिस देश में बसे हैंवहां के समाज के लगभग हर क्षेत्र में leadership के रोल में नजर आते हैं, मॉरिशस को श्री प्रवीण जगन्नाथ जी पूरे समर्पण के साथ आगे बढ़ा रहे हैं इसके अलावा पुर्तगाल, त्रिनाड, टोबेगो और आयरलैंड जैसे अनेक देशों को ऐसे सक्षम लोगों का नेतृत्व मिला है। जिनकी जड़े भारत में हैं।
साथियों, आप सभी के सहयोगसे बीते साढ़े चार वर्षों में भारत ने दुनिया में अपना स्वाभाविक स्थान पाने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम बढ़ाया है। पहले लोग कहते थे कि भारत बदल नहीं सकता। हमने इस सोच को ही बदल डाला है। हमने बदलाव करके दिखाया है।
साथियों, दुनिया आज हमारी बात को, हमारे सुझावों को पूरी गंभीरता के साथ सुन भी रही है और समझ भी रही है। पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा और विश्व की प्रगति में भारत के योगदान को दुनिया स्वीकार कर रही है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सबसे बड़े पर्यावरण पुरस्कार Champions of the earth के साथ-साथ Seoul Peace Prize का मिलना इसी का परिणाम है।
साथियों, आज भारत अनेक मामलों में दुनिया की अगुवाई करने की स्थिति में है। International solar alliance यानि ISA ऐसा ही एक मंच है। इसके माध्यम से हम दुनिया को one world, one sun , one grid उस तरफ ले जाना चाहते हैं। ये हमारे उस लक्ष्य का भी हिस्सा है जिसके तहत हम भारत की समस्याओं के ऐसे समाधान तैयार कर रहे हैं जिससे दूसरे देशों की मुश्किले भी हल हो सके।local solution global application के approach के साथ हम काम कर रहे हैं। Reform, perform, transform और सबका साथ-सबका विकास के सूत्र पर चलते हुए देश ने बीते साढ़े चार वर्षों में क्या पाया इसकी एक तस्वीर मैं आपके सामने रखना चाहता हूं।
आज भारत दुनिया की तेजी से बढ़ती economic ताकत है। तो sports में भी हम बड़ी शक्ति बनने की तरफ निकल पड़े हैं। आज Infrastructure के बड़े और आधुनिक संसाधन बन रहे हैं तो space के क्षेत्र में भी रिकॉर्ड बना रहे हैं।
आज हम दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा strat-up eco system है तो दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी Health care scheme आयुषमान भारत भी चला रहे हैं। आज हमारा युवा make in India के तहत रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर मोबाइल फोन, कार, बस, ट्रक, ट्रेन बना रहा है तो वही खेत में रिकॉर्ड अन्न उत्पादन हो रहा है। आपको मैं एक उदाहरण देता हूं।
साथियों, आप में से अनेक लोगों ने हमारे देश के एक पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री की भ्रष्टाचार को लेकर कही एक बात जरूर सुनी होगी। उन्होंने कहा था कि केंद्र सरकार दिल्ली से जो पैसे भेजती है उसका सिर्फ 15 प्रतिशत ही लोगों तक पहुंच पाता है। अगर दिल्ली से एक रुपया निकलता है तो 15 पैसा गांव में पहुंचता है, 85 पैसे छूमंतर हो जाते हें। ये एक भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री ने हमारे देश में कहा था।इतने वर्ष तक देश में जिस पार्टी ने शासन किया, उसने देश को जो व्यवस्था दी थी उस सच्चाई को प्रधानमंत्री रहते हुए उन्होंने स्वीकार किया था। लेकिन अफसोस ये रहा कि बाद के अपने 10-15 साल के शासन में भी इस लूट को, इस लीकेज को बंद करने का प्रयास नहीं किया गया। बीमारी तो पता चला, बीमारी को स्वीकार भी किया लेकिन इलाज करने की दिशा में ने सोचा, न कुछ किया। देश का मध्यम वर्ग ईमानदारी से टैक्स देता रहा है और 85 प्रतिशत की ये लूट भी चलती रही है।
साथियों, अब मैं आपको आज की सच्चाई भी बताना चाहता हूं। हमने टेक्नोलॉजी का इस्तेमाल करके इस 85 प्रतिशत की लूट को शत-प्रतिशत खत्म कर दिया है। बीते साढ़े चार वर्षों में करीब-करीब 5 लाख 80 हजार करोड़ रुपये… यानि करीब-करीब 80 billion डॉलर हमारी सरकार ने अलग-अलग योजनाओं के तहत सीधे लोगों को दिए, उनके बैंक अकाउंट में ट्रांसफर किए हैं। किसी को घर के लिए, किसी को पढ़ाई के लिए, किसी को scholarship के लिए, किसी को गैस सिलेंडर के लिए, किसी को अनाज के लिए ये राशि दी गई है। अब आप अंदाज लगाइए अगर देश अपने पुराने तौर-तरीकों से ही चलता रहता होता तो आज भी इस 5 लाख 80 हजार करोड़ रुपये में से करीब-करीब साढ़े चार लाख से भी ज्यादा हजार करोड़… साढ़े चार लाख हजार करोड़ से ज्यादा… ये रकम छूमंतर हो जाती, लीक होती, अगर हम व्यवस्था में बदलाव नहीं लाते होते तो ये राशि उसी तरह लूट ली जाती जैसे पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री ने स्वीकार किया था कि लूटी जाती थी।
साथियों, ये सुधार पहले भी हो सकता था लेकिन नीयत नहीं थी, इच्छाशक्ति नहीं थी और नीति की अपेक्षा करना जरा कठिन लगता है। हमारी सरकार अब उस रास्ते पर चल रही है कि सरकार द्वारा दी जाने वाली हर मदद Direct benefit transfer scheme के तहत सीधे लाभार्थी के बैंक खाते में transfer की जाए।मैं आपको एक और आंकड़ा देता हूं। पिछले साढ़े चारसाल में हमारी सरकार ने करीब-करीब 7 करोड़ ऐसे फर्जी लोगों को पहचान कर उन्हें व्यवस्था से हटाया है। ये 7 करोड़ लोग वो थे जो कभी जन्मे ही नहीं थे जो वास्तव में थे ही नहीं लेकिन ये 7 करोड़ लोग सरकारी सुविधाओं को लाभ ले रहे थे। कागज पर वो थे, कागज पर पैदा भी हुए,बड़े भी हुए और फायदा भी उठाते रहे।आप सोचिए पूरे ब्रिटेन में जितने लोग हैं, पूरे फ्रांस में जितने लोग हैं, पूरे इटली में जितने लोग हैं ऐसे अनेक देशों की जनसंख्या से ज्यादा तो हमारे यहां वो लोग थे जो सिर्फ कागजों में ही जी रहे थे और कागजों में ही सरकारी सुविधाओं का लाभ चला जाता था। इन 7 करोड़ फर्जी लोगों को हटाने का काम हमारी सरकार ने किया है। ये उस बदलाव की एक झलक है जो पिछले साढ़े चार वर्षों में देश में आना शुरू हुआ है।
साथियों, ये देश में हो रहे बड़े पैमाने पर हो रहे परिवर्तन की न्यू इंडिया के नए आत्मविश्वास की एक झांकी भर है। भारत के गौरवशाली अतीत को फिर स्थापित करने के लिए 130 करोड़ भारतवासियों के संकल्प का ये परिणाम है। और मैं आज बहुत गर्व से कहना चाहता हूं इस संकल्प में आप भी शामिल हैं।
साथियों, सरकार का पूरा प्रयास है कि आप सभी जहां भी रहें सुखी रहें और सुरक्षित रहें। बीते साढ़े चार वर्षों के दौरान संकट में फसे 2 लाख से ज्यादा भारतीयों को सरकार के प्रयासों से दुनिया के भिन्न-भिन्न देशों में मदद पहुंचाई गई है। आपकी सोशल सिक्योरिटी के साथ-साथ पासपोर्ट, वीजा, पीआईओ और ओसीआई कार्ड को लेकर भी तमाम प्रक्रियाओं को आसान करने की कोशिश सरकार कर रही है। प्रवासी भारतीयों के लिए कुछ महीने पहले ही एक नया कदम भी उठाया गया है। दुनिया भर में हमारी एम्बेसिस और कांउसलेटस को पासपोर्ट सेवा प्रोजेक्ट से जोड़ा जा रहा है। इससे आप सभी के लिए पासपोर्ट सेवा से जुड़ा एक centralize system तैयार हो जाएगा। बल्कि अब तो एक कदम आगे बढ़ते हुएchip based E-passport जारी करने की दिशा में भी काम चल रहा है।
साथियों, पासपोर्ट के साथ-साथ वीजा से जुड़े नियमों को भी सरल किया जा रहा है। ई-वीजा की सुविधा मिलने से आपके समय की बचत भी हो रही है और परेशानियांभी कम हुई हैं। अभी भी कोई समस्या इसमें है तो उसके सुधार के लिए भी कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं।आप में से अनेक इस बात से भी परिचित होंगे कि हमारी सरकार ने पीआईओ कार्ड को ओसीआई कार्ड में बदलने की प्रक्रिया को भी आसान बनाया है। साथियों आप अपनी मिट्टी से भले ही दूर है, लेकिन New India के निर्माण में आपकी सक्रिय भागीदारी में.. और बढ़ोतरी होइसके लिए लगातार प्रयास चल रहे हैं। भारत में जो बदलाव आ रहा है, जो नये अवसर बन रहे हैं, उसमें आपका योगदान बहुत ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है। बदलते हुए इस भारत में आप Research and Development और innovation में बड़ी भूमिका निभा सकते हैं। सरकार यह भी कोशिश कर रही है कि भारत के स्टार्ट अप और NRI mentors को एक साथ एक प्लेटफॉर्म पर लाएं। Defense Manufacturing भी आपके लिए एक अहम सेक्टर हो सकता है।
भाईयों और बहनों मां भारती की सुरक्षा अर्थव्यवस्था के साथ-साथ अपनी आध्यात्मिक और सांस्कृतिक विरासत से भी आपका जुड़ाव और मजबूत होइसके लिए प्रवासी तीर्थ दर्शन योजना की भी शुरूआत की जा रही है। मैं इस मंच पर पहले भी कह चुका हूं, और आज फिर दोहराना चाहता हूं कि आप जिस भी देश में रहते हैं वहां से अपने आसपास के कम से कम पांच परिवार और वो भी non-Indian पांच परिवारों को भारत आने के लिए आप प्रेरित करिये। आपका यह प्रयास देश में टूरिज्म बढ़ाने में अहम भूमिका निभाएगा। इसी तरह आप इस वर्ष गांधी जी की 150वीं जन्म जयंती पर अपने देश में रहते हुए कैसे उनकी बातों को, भारत की बातों को अन्य लोगों तक पहुंचाएंगे। इस पर भी विचार कीजिए। पिछले दिनों सुषमा जी के नेतृत्व में दुनिया के कई देशों में एक अच्छा प्रयोग हुआ। वहां की हमारी सभी embassiesने गांधी 150 जयंती पर उस देश के कलाकारों को ‘वैष्णव जन तो तेने कहिये’गांधी जी का प्रिय भजन उनको गाने के लिए request की। you tube पर इसकी सारी video available है। आप भी हैरान हो जाएंगे कि विदेश के नागरिक, विदेश के कलाकार कितनी भक्तिभाव से ‘वैष्णव जन तो तेने कहिये’यह गा रहे हैं। एक प्रकार से गांधी ग्लोबल है, यह अनुभूति हम सब इसको सुनते कर सकते हैं। और इसलिए कुछ विशेष कार्यक्रम अगर आप करना चाहे तो भारतीय दूतावास embassy द्वारा भी आपकी हर संभव मदद की जाएगी। इस वर्ष हम सभी गुरूनानक देव जी की 550वीं जयंती भी मना रहे हैं। गुरुवाणी को हम कैसे दूसरे देशों के लोगों तक पहुंचाए, उन्हें भारत की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत से उसे कैसे परिचित कराए, इस बारे में भी मैं चाहूंगा कि आप जिस भी देश में हो, कुछ न कुछ योजनाएं बननी चाहिए, कुछ न कुछ प्रयास होना चाहिए। साथियों, यह बातें सिर्फ सुझाव के तौर पर आपके सामने रख रहा हूं। मुझे पता है कि आप में से बहुत से लोग पहले से ऐसा करते आ रहे हैं, लेकिन आपसे स्नेह ऐसा है कि मैं खुद को रोक नहीं पाता हूं।
मैं विशेष रूप से आज उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार को भी बधाई देना चाहता हूं आमतौर पर किसी राज्य में प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस का इतना बड़ा कार्यक्रम लेना हो, दुनिया के इतने मेहमान आने वाले हो, तो उस राज्य को बहुत मेहनत करनी पड़ती है, बहुत योजना करनी पड़ती है। करीब-करीब एक साल उसमें लग जाता है। और एक कार्यक्रम करने के बाद एक साल थकान उतरने में चला जाता है। मैं उत्तर प्रदेश को इसलिए बधाई देता हूं कि कुंभ जितना बड़ा कार्यक्रम चल रहा हो, इतनी बड़ी व्यवस्था लगी हुई हो, कुंभ मेले की तैयारी में 2-3 साल लगातार काम करना पड़ता है। और मुझे संकोच हो रहा था कि कुंभ के मेले की जिम्मेदारी उत्तर प्रदेश के पास है, सारी सरकारी मशीनें उसमें व्यस्त हैं। 10 करोड़ लोग वहां आने की संभावना है। ऐसे में काशी में यह कार्यक्रम करें या न करें। मेरे मन में झिझक थी लेकिन मैं योगी जी को, उनकी पूरी टीम को, उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रशासन और शासन को हृदय से बधाई देता हूं कि उन्होंने एक साथ दो इतने बड़े कार्यक्रम इस बात ने दुनिया को इस बात का परिचय करा दिया है कि उत्तर प्रदेश की Government, उत्तर प्रदेश की bureaucracy, उत्तर प्रदेश के मुलाजिम यह भी दुनिया में किसी से कम नहीं है। और इसलिए मैं उनका विशेष अभिनन्दन करता हूं।
मैं काशीवासियों को सिर झुका करके प्रणाम करना चाहता हूं, क्योंकि मैंने प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस को गुजरात में भी किया हुआ है। और शायद गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री कहो या आज प्रधानमंत्री के पद पर देखो, शायद हिन्दुस्तान में एक ऐसा इंसान हूं जो करीब-करीब सभी प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस के कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित रहा हूं। जब मुख्यमंत्री थातब भी आता था, प्रधानमंत्री के बाद तो दायित्व बना है। एक बार सिर्फ मैंने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस से शरीक हुआ था, otherwise मैं physically ही जाता हूं। मैंने इतने कार्यक्रम देखे हैं। गुजरात में भी मैं मेज़बान था, लेकिन काशी ने जिस प्रकार से इस कार्यक्रम को सरकारी कार्यक्रम नहीं बनने दिया, जनता जनार्दन का कार्यक्रम बन गया, हर काशीवासी ने इसे अपना कार्यक्रम बना लिया। करीब-करीब चार सौ लोग परिवारों में ठहरे हैं और यहां की tent city का नजारा ऐसा है कि मुझे बताया गया कि कई लोग जो होटल में ठहरे थे, वो होटल छोड़ करके tent city का मजा लेने चले आए हैं। एक नया अनुभव करने के लिए चले आए। मैं समझता हूं और पिछले दो महीने से मैं लगातार देख रहा था। काशीवासियों ने काशी को एक प्रकार से ग्लोबल Headquarter बना दिया हो ऐसा माहौल बना दिया था। यहां आया हुआ हर मेहमान काशीवासी को लग रहा है उसके खुद के परिवार का मेहमान है। ऐसा वातावरण प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मेलनों में इसके पहले मैं कभी देख नहीं पाया हूं, जो काशीवासियों ने दिखाया है। और इसलिए मैं काशीवासियों को विशेष रूप से प्रणाम करता हूं। मैं स्थानीय administration को भी, यहां के अधिकारियों को भी हृदय से बहुत-बहुत बधाई देता हूं कि उन्होंने अपने बलबूते पर इतनी बड़ी व्यवस्था को चलाया, बढ़ाया और आगे बढ़ाया। और इन सबके पीछे सुषमा जी का नेतृत्व और उनकी पूरी टीम यह तो अभिनंदन के हकदार है ही है। काशी का गौरव बढ़ा तो यहां के सांसद के नाते मेरी खुशी जरा चार गुना ज्यादा बढ़ जाती है।
मेहनत आप लोगों ने की, योजना आप लोगों ने बनाई, पसीना आपने बहाया, दिनरात बिना सोये, बिना थके आप लोग चलते रहे, लेकिन लोग पीठ मेरी थपथपा रहे हैं। यह आपका प्यार है, आपकी मेहनत है, जिसके कारण यह संभव हुआ है और इसलिए काशी की सांसद के नाते मेरी इस कर्मभूमि के नाते मैं आज एक विशेष संतोष की अनुभूति करता हूं और मुझे विश्वास है कि मेरी काशी आपके माध्यम से फिर एक बार दुनिया के हर व्यक्ति के दिल में जगह बनाएगी और हर किसी को काशी आने का मन करे । मैं अंत में फिर से एक बार आप सभी का काशी में पधारने के लिए हृदय से बहुत-बहुत आभार व्यक्त करता हूं। भारत में आपका यह प्रवास सुखद रहे, इसी कामना के साथ बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद करता हूं, मैं व्यक्तिगत रूप से प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में नहीं, सांसद के रूप में नहीं, व्यक्तिगत अपने आनंद के लिए पिछले एक-दो साल से कार्यक्रम कर रहा हूं। भारत में मार्च महीना एक प्रकार से exam का महीना होता है और 10वीं, 12वीं की परीक्षा यानि परिवार में सालभर एक तनाव का माहौल होता है। हर किसी को लगता है बच्चे को 10वीं में ज्यादा Marks मिले, 12वीं में ज्यादा Marks मिले, एक तनाव का माहौल होता है। तो मैं हमेशा कोशिश कर रहा हूं कि exam के पहले सभी बच्चों से, उनके parents से, उनके Guardian से, उनके अभिभावकों से, उनके teacher से मैं संवाद करूं और परीक्षा को बड़ा संकट न माने लोग इसके लिए जो भी बातें समझा सकता हूं मैं समझाऊं। मुझे खुशी है इस 29 जनवरी को मैं देशभर के और इस बार तो विदेश के लोग भी जुड़ रहे हैं। उनके बच्चे भी, उनके family के लोग भी नरेंद्र मोदी App के माध्यम से, video के माध्यम से जुड़ने वाले हैं। करोड़ों-करोड़ों परिवारों के साथ exam warriorsके संबंध में मैं संवाद करने वाला हूं। बच्चों से बातचीत करने वाला हूं और परीक्षा का तनाव बच्चों का न रहे इसके लिए जो भी तौर-तरीके बता सकता हूं, मैं बताने वाला हूं, 29 जनवरी, 11 बजे, मुझे विश्वास है कि आप भी अपने परिवार के लोगों को सूचना करेंगे कि वहां आपके परिवार के लोग भी अगर इस exam के इस कालखंड में हो तो वे भी उसका फायदा उठा सकते हैं।
मैं फिर एक बार इस भव्य योजना के लिए और हमारे मित्र प्रवीन्द जगन्नाथ जी का परिवार के साथ यहां आना, समय देना, इसका कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाना मैं इसके लिए उनका बहुत हृदय से आभार व्यक्त करता हूं। उनके पिता जी ने मॉरिशस को बनाने में बहुत बड़ी भूमिका अदा की है। एक प्रकार से आधुनिक मॉरिशस के वो architecture हैं। उनका भी उतना ही प्यार हम सब बना हुआ है। पिछले दिनों उनके पिता जी विशेष रूप से परिवार के साथ काशी की यात्रा के लिए आए थे, आज प्रवीन्दजी का आना हो गया, परिवार के साथ कविता जी को ले करके आए गए। मैं मानता हूं उनका भारत के प्रति जो आपार स्नेह हैं। वो दिनों-दिन बढ़ता चला जा रहा है। उन्होंने समय दिया, शोभा बढ़ाई, उनका भी आभार व्यक्त करता हूं। मैं फिर एक बार आप सब को अनेक-अनेक शुभकामनाओं के साथ बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद।

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the plenary session of the 15th edition of Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul in Varanasi today.
Chief Guest of PBD 2019, Prime Minister of Mauritius, PravindJugnauth, ,Governor of Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj along with UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of UttarakhandTrivendra Singh Rawat, Union Minister of State for Overseas Indian Affairs Retd.General V K Singh and several other dignitaries graced the occasion.
In his address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it is the love and affection of the diaspora for the land of their forefathers which has brought them to India. He called upon the NRI community to join hands for building a new India.
PM lauded the role of Indian diaspora in keeping alive the tradition of VasudhaivaKutumbakam. He said the NRIs are not only the Brand Ambassadors of India but also represent its strength, capabilities and characteristics. He urged the diaspora to participate in building a New India specially in research and innovation.
PM said that with its rapid progress, India is being seen on a high pedestal across the world and is in a position to lead the global community. International Solar Alliance is one such example. Mr. Modi added that local solution and global application is our mantra. He termed International Solar Alliance as a step in the direction of One World, One Sun, One Grid.
Prime Minister said that India is on course to become a global economic powerhouse. It has one of the largest start-up ecosystems and world’s largest healthcare scheme to its credit. We have moved on with great strides in Make in India. A bumper harvest production has been our major achievement.
PM lamented that due to lack of will power and proper policies of the previous Government, a large chunk of funds earmarked for them was not available for the Beneficiaries. However today, he said we have plugged the loopholes in the system with the help of technology. The loot of public money has been stopped and 85 percent of the lost money has been made available and transferred directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. PM said that now Rs. 5,80000 crores has transferred directly into people’s accounts over the past four and a half years.PM narrated how 7 crore fake names have been struck off the list of beneficiaries, which is almost equal to the population of Britain, France and, Italy.
PM said these are some of the glimpses of changes ushered in by his Government which reflect the New Confidence of a New India.
PM said the diaspora is equally important in our resolve for a New India. He added that their safety is also our concern and cited how the Government took upon the challenge of evacuating more than 2 lakh Indians stranded in conflict zones.
Speaking about the welfare of Indians overseas, Mr. Modi said passport and visa rules have been simplified and e visa had made it much easier for them to travel. All PravasiBharatiya are now being linked to Passport Sewa and efforts are in to issue chip based E passport.
PM said that a Pravasi Teerth DarshanYojana is being taken up. He urged overseas Indian to invite 5 non Indian families to visit India. PM also requested them to spread the values of Gandhi ji and Guru Nanak Dev ji and become a part of their anniversary celebrations. He said that we feel proud that global community joined us in compilation of Bapu’s favourite bhajan, Vaishnava jan.
PM complimented the role of the residents of Kashi in making PBD successful with their warmth and hospitality. PM said that ahead of upcoming School Board examinations, he will interact with the parents and students through NAMO App in ParikshapeCharcha – at 11am on 29th January, 2019.
Chief Guest of PBD -2019, Mauritius PM, PravindJugnauth invoked the memories of Indian diaspora and their connect with the land of their forefathers. Speaking in Hindi and English, he said such gatherings reinforce the identity of overseas Indians as the members of one family with shared history and culture. He said, if India is unique, Indianness is universal. The Mauritian PM told that an educated and self reliant diaspora can play a major role in nation building and the Diaspora connect can help multilateralism.
He enthralled the crowd with his Bhojpuri dialect and announced that Mauritius will organise the first International Bhojpuri festival.
In her welcome address, External Affairs Minister said India today feels proud under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi. She thanked Indian diaspora for their linkages with the motherland. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath said PBD and Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh are a reflection of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
Prime Minister Modi felicitated the winners of Bharat koJaniye quiz competition. This is a quiz competition on India meant for the young Indian diaspora.
Closing ceremony of PBD will be held tomorrow on January 23, 2019 where President RamnathKovind will confer PravasiBharatiyaSamman to select overseas Indians for their contributions.
After the Convention, on 24th January, the visiting diaspora delegates will visit Prayagraj for KumbhMela. They will then proceed to Delhi on 25th January and witness the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi.
Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth to be the Chief Guest Theme of PBD 2019 – Role of Indian Diaspora in building New India
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas Convention at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh tomorrow on 22 January, 2019.
For the first time, the three day long convention is being organized in Varanasi from 21-23 January, 2019. The theme of PBD Convention 2019 is “Role of Indian Diaspora in building New India”.
In reverence to the sentiments of the larger diaspora to participate in Kumbh Mela and Republic Day celebrations, the 15th PBD Convention is being organised from 21 to 23 January 2019 instead of 9th January. After the Convention, participants will visit Prayagraj for Kumbh Mela on 24th January. They will then proceed to Delhi on 25th January and witness the Republic Day Parade at New Delhi on 26th January 2019.
Prime Minister of Mauritius Mr. Pravind Jugnauth will be the chief guest of the PBD convention. Mr. Himanshu Gulati, Member of Parliament of Norway, will be the Special Guest while Mr. Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi, Member of Parliament of New Zealand will be the Guest of Honor at the 15th edition of PBD.
Key events of this edition include-
21 January, 2019- Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas. The event will provide opportunities for the young Diaspora to engage with New India.
22 January 2019 – Inauguration of PBD convention by Prime Minister in presence of Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth.
23 January 2019 – Valedictory Session & Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards by the President of India.
Various plenary sessions are also scheduled during the event. The evenings are marked with cultural programs.
About Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas:
The decision to celebrate Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD) was taken by the former Indian Prime Minister, late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The 1st PBD was celebrated on 9th January, 2003 in New Delhi. January 9 was chosen as the day to celebrate PBD as it was on this day in 1915 that Mahatma Gandhi, had returned to India from South Africa.
PBD now celebrated once in every two years, provides a platform to the overseas Indian community to engage with the government and reconnect with their roots. During the Convention, Pravasi Bharatiya Samman is conferred on the selected overseas Indians for their significant contributions to various fields both in India and abroad.
14th PBD held during 7–9 January 2017 at Bengaluru, Karnataka was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The theme for the 14th PBD was “Redefining engagement with the Indian diaspora”. In his address, Mr. Modi had said that Indian diaspora represents the best of Indian culture, ethos and values and are respected for their contributions. He underlined the importance of a continuous engagement with the overseas Indian community as a key area of priority for the Government.
मेरे प्यारे भाइयों-बहनों।
आज प्रधान सेवक के तौर पर मैं फिर एक बार आपके बीच हूं। लेकिन उससे पहले भी यह दमन हो, दीव हो, सिलवासा हो, यहां के गांव हो यह मेरे लिए नये नहीं है। कई बार आने का अवसर मिला है। दादरा नगर हवेली और दमन दीव की सड़कों पर कभी स्कूटर पर घूमने का मौका मिलता था। यहां के खान-पान, रीतिरिवाज, यहां की नागली, सबकुछ जब यहां आता हूं तो पुरानी बातें याद आती है। आपके प्यार ने मुझे अभिभूत किया है।
साथियों 2017 में जब अप्रैल के महीने में मैं आपके बीच आया था तो अनेक योजनाओं का शिलान्यास किया था। मुझे खुशी है कि इतने कम समय में अधिकांश कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है और उनमें से कई का आज लोकार्पण किया जा रहा है। आज एक बार जब फिर आपके बीच हूं तो यहां 1400 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के प्रोजेक्ट का लोकार्पण और शिलान्यास किया गया है। यह परियोजनाएं, यहां की connectivity, infrastructure, स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा, पर्यटन, संस्कृति, विरासत इन सब अनेक पहलुओें से जुड़ी यहां के उद्योगों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए आज यहां नई Industrial Policy और नयी IT Policy भी launch की गई है। नये वर्ष पर इन उपहारों के लिए आप सबको बहुत-बहुत बधाई।
भाईयों और बहनों, सबका साथ, सबका विकास के मंत्र पर चल रही केंद्र की सरकार विकास की पंचधारा के लिए पूरी तरह से समर्पित है। बच्चों को पढ़ाई, युवाओं को कमाई, बुजुर्गों को दवाई, किसानों को सिंचाई और जन-जन की सुनवाई यह हमारे लिए विकास का राजमार्ग है। मुझे देखकर भी खुशी होती है कि पिछले पांच वर्षों में दमन, दीव और दादरा नगर हवेली का विकास नई ऊंचाई पर पहुंचा है। इन दोनों ही क्षेत्रों की एक नई पहचान बनी है। अनेक विषयों में यह दोनों केंद्र संघ प्रदेश व्यवस्थाओं में अपूर्णता से निकल करके पूर्णता की तरफ आगे बढ़े हैं। आज दमन, दीव और दादरा नगर हवेली दोनों ही खुद को खुले में शौच से मुक्त घोषित कर चुके हैं। आज दोनों ही क्षेत्रों के हर घर में LPG connection है और दोनों ही केरोसिन फ्री घोषित किए जा चुके हैं। आज दोनों यूनियन टेरीटरी के सभी घरों में बिजली कनेक्शन है। पानी का कनेक्शन है आज इन दोनों क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले वो गरीब जो प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के तहत घर पाने के योग्य थे, उन्हें घरों की मंजूरी दी जा चुकी है। आज दोनों ही क्षेत्रों के वो लोग जिन्हें आयुष्मान भारत योजना का लाभ मिलना है Gold Card जारी किये जा चुके हैं।
साथियों, अगर मैं बीते तीन वर्षों की ही बात करूं तो इन दोनों केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों में करीब-करीब नौ हजार करोड़ रुपये का निवेश किया गया है। नौ हजार करोड़ आप कल्पना कर सकते हैं अब हमारा क्षेत्र कहां से कहां पहुंच रहा है। इस राशि से अनेक परियोजनाएं शुरू की गई है। अनेक को पूरा किया गया है। इसी कड़ी में आज यहां स्वास्थ्य से जुड़े अनेक प्रोजेक्ट का लोकार्पण और शिलान्यास किया गया है। आपकी एक बहुत पुरानी मांग भी पूरी हुई है। दादरा नगर हवेली दमन और दीव को आजादी के इतने दशकों के बाद अपना पहला मेडिकल कॉलजे मिला। आज तक दोनों केंद्रशासित राज्यों को साल में सिर्फ 15 सीटें ही अलग-अलग जगहों पर मिलती थी। अब प्रयास से 150 सीटें एक ही जगह पर इस नई मेडिकल कॉलेज में प्रारंभ हो रहा है। इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि आगे चल करके डेढ़ सौ पर ही रूकेगा। जैसे काम बढ़ेगा students की संख्या भी बढ़ेगी।
भाईयों और बहनों, कोशिश यह भी हो रही है कि बिना समय गवाएं एक वैकल्पिक बिल्डिंग से इसी वर्ष से ही मेडिकल कॉलेज शुरू किया जा सके। मुझे भी बताया गया है कि Medical Education को बढ़ावा देनेके लिए सिलवासा में पैरा मेडिकल की करीब ढ़ाई सौ और दमन में नर्सिंग की 50 सीटों की भी व्यवस्था की गई है। इन प्रयासों से से युवा साथियों का लाभ तो होगा ही यहां की स्वास्थ्य सेवाओंको बेहतर बनाने में भी मदद मिलेगी।
साथियों, 200 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से बनने वाले इस कॉलेज के अलावा Health and Wellness Centre का जो Network यहां बनाया जा रहा है, उससे सामान्य बीमारियों का उत्तम ईलाज भी घर के पास ही संभव हो पाएगा। आयुष्मान भारत योजना के तहत 15 दर्जनों ऐसे Health and Wellness Centre का भी लोकार्पण यहां किया गया है।
भाईयों और बहनों, थोड़ी देर पहले यहां आयुष्मान भारत, प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना उनके कुछ लाभार्थियों को कार्ड दिए गए हैं। दुनिया की इस सबसे बड़ी Health Care योजना की चर्चा आज पूरे विश्व में हो रही है। लोग इसे Modicare कह रहे हैं। कारण यह है कि इस योजना के तहत हर दिन देश में लगभग 10 हजार से भी ज्यादा गरीबों का मुफ्त ईलाज सुनिश्चित हो रहा है। अब इसको 100 दिन से थोड़ा ऊपर ही समय हुआ है। इतने कम समय में ही लगभग सात लाख गरीब मरीजों का अस्पताल में ईलाज हो चुका है।
साथियों, दवाई के साथ-साथ पढ़ाई की सुविधा का भी विस्तार किया जा रहा है। थोड़ी देर पहले यहां शिक्षा से जुड़े नये संस्थान आपको समर्पित किए गए हैं। दीव का Education Hub इसके तमाम व्यवस्थाएं यहां के युवाओं को घर के पास ही अच्छी शिक्षा उपलब्ध कराने में मदद करेगी।
भाईयों और बहनों, दवाई और पढ़ाई के साथ-साथ सरकार यह भी सुनिश्चित कर रही है कि कोई भी गरीब बेघर न रहे। बिना छत के उसकी जिंदगी न हो, उसको रहने के लिए पक्का घर हो। प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के तहत गांव और शहरों के गरीबों को अपना पक्का घर देने का एक व्यापक अभियान देशभर में चल रहा है। इस संकल्प की तरफ एक कदम ओर बढ़ाते हुए दादरा नगर हवेली और दीव दमन में आज अनेक घरों का लोकार्पण किया गया है। इसके अलावा नये घरों के निर्माण कार्य का शिलान्यास भी थोड़ी देर पहले किया गया है। जिसमें दमन के industrial area में काम करने वाले कामगार परिवारों के लिए बना Housing Project भी शामिल है। आज जिनके घर का सपना पूरा हुआ है और जिनके घर बनने शुरू हुए हैं उनको मेरी तरफ से बहुत-बहुत हृदयपूर्वक बधाई देता हूं। नये साल में नये घर का उनका सपना पूरा हुआ है।
साथियों, बीते साढ़े चार वर्षों में दादरा नगर हवेली जैसी छोटे से क्षेत्र में एक हजार से अधिक शहरी गरीबी आवास के लिए काम किया गया है, बनाए जा चुके हैं। बीते साढ़े चार वर्षों में जिस कमेटमेंट के साथ जिस फीड और स्केल पर गरीबों के घर बनाने का काम चल रहा है वो अभूतपूर्व है। पहले की सरकार जहां अपने 5 साल में सिर्फ 25 लाख घर बनवा सकी थी, वहीं हमारी सरकार अब 5 साल में एक करोड़ 25 लाख से अधिक घरों का निर्माण पूरा कर चुकी है। कहां 5 साल में 25 लाख और कहां 5 साल में एक करोड़ 25 लाख से भी ज्यादा।
भाईयों और बहनों, यह भी सिर्फ चार दीवारियों ही नहीं, इसमें सौभाग्य योजना के तहत बिजली का मुफ्त कनेक्शन भी मिलता है। टॉयलेट भी होता है। किचन में उज्जवला योजना के अंतर्गत मुफ्त LPG गैस कनेक्शन भी दिया जाता है। दादरा नगर हवेली की बात करूं तो यहां 13 हजार बहनों को मुफ्त गैस कनेक्शन दिये जा चुके हैं। इस प्रकार की तमाम सुविधाएं गरीब के आत्मविश्वास को बढ़ाने में सहायक सिद्ध हो रही है। साथियों, सामान्य मानव का जीवन सरल और सुगम हो इसके लिए देश के Smart व्यवस्थाओं का निर्माण हो रहा है। सिलवासा और दीव शहर को smart city बनाने के लिए अनेक योजनाओं पर काम चल रहा है। यहां सड़के हो, गलियां हो, सीवर और पानी की व्यवस्था हो, साफ-सफाई की सुविधा हो हर स्तर पर काम हो रहा है। थोड़ी देर पहले smart city से जुड़े अनेक प्रोजेक्ट का लोकार्पण और शिलान्यास किया गया है।
साथियों, सिलवासा तो इस पूरे क्षेत्र की आर्थिक गतिविधियों का ऊर्जा केंद्र है, अनेक उद्योग यहां पर है और भविष्य में भी यहां उद्योगों के लिए अनेक संभावनाएं है। सिलवासा नगर निगम का भवन हो, सीवेज treatment plant हो, कनेक्टिविटी को सुगम करने वाले प्रोजेक्ट हो, यह सभी यहां के जीवन को आसान बनाने वाले हैं।
साथियों, सिलवासा के साथ-साथ दमन और दीव भी विकास को रफ्तार दे गए हैं। दमन गंगा पर बने नये पूल, नई सीवेज लाइन और treatment plant जैसी सुविधाओं से दमन वासियों का जीवन सुगम होने वाला है। वहीं मोटी दमन में बनी सी वॉल अब सागर की लहरों से आपकी सुरक्षा करने वाली है। इससे मिट्टी के कटान की समस्या बहुत कम होने वाली है। साथियों पिछली बार जब मैं यहां आया था तो अनेक आदिवासी परिवारों को जमीन के पट्टे बांटे गए। आज भी कुछ साथियों को जमीन के अधिकार पत्र सौंपने का अवसर मुझे मिला है।
भाईयों और बहनों, जमीन हों, जंगल की पैदावर हो, पढ़ाई-लिखाई हो, खेल से जुड़ी प्रतिभा हो, हर स्तर पर आदिवासियों के कल्याण के लिए व्यापक प्रयास किये जा रहे हैं। वंधन योजना के तहत जो जंगल की उपज है उसमें value addition और उसके उचित प्रचार-प्रयास के लिए देशभर में सेंटर बनाये जा रहे हैं। जंगल से जो उपज आदिवासी बहन-भाई इक्ट्ठा करते हैं उनका सही मूल्य मिल सके। इसके लिए समर्थन मूल्य का दायरा बढ़ाया गया है।
साथियों, आदिवासी की कमाई के साथ-साथ culture के संरक्षण के लिए भी गंभीर प्रयास हो रहे हैं। आज भी यहां इतिहास और सांस्कृतिक विरासत से जुड़े अनेक प्रोजेक्ट का प्रारंभ हुआ है। cultural centre हो, पुराने किलों का संरक्षण हो, दीव में आईएनएस खुखरी से जुड़े स्मारक स्थल हो, यह निश्चित तौर पर स्थानीय संस्कृति के संरक्षण और उसके प्रचार-प्रसार में सिद्ध होने वाले हैं।
साथियों, संस्कृति और गौरव, इतिहास के यह स्मारक हमारी भावनाओं के प्रहरी तो है ही युवाओं के लिए रोजगार के अनेक अवसर भी बनाते हैं। यह टूरिज्म को ताकत देते हैं। दादरा और नगर हवेली में पर्यटन के लिए बहुत संभावनाएं है। इस क्षेत्र को टूरिस्ट मैप पर लाने के लिए सरकार हर संभव प्रयास कर रही है। सिलवासा में बने दमन गंगा river front के पीछे की भावना भी यही है। अब यहां आने वाले पर्यटकों के लिए एक और आकर्षण का केंद्र यहां बनकर तैयार है। इसके अलावा यहां पर 200 square km का रिजर्व forest area भी है। यह forest area Tourism Industrial के लिए वरदान है। मधुबन डैम के catchment area में water sports की activity को बढ़ाया जा सकता है। दादरा और नगर हवेली की internet connectivity भी बेहतर हो इसके लिए यहां के प्रमुख टूरिस्ट सेंटरों और अहम जगहों पर फ्री वाई-फाई की सुविधाओं देनेका प्रयास चल रहा है।
साथियों, टूरिज्म के साथ पारंपरिक रोजगार के साधनों और संसाधनों को भी मजबूती दी जा रही है। Blue revolution scheme के तहत मछुआरों की आय बढ़ाने के लिए सरकार काम कर रही है। मछुआरें बहन-भाईयों के लिए मछली पकड़ना आसान हो, मार्केट तक पहुंच आसान हो इसके लिए कौशिक की जा रही है। मछुआरों की पारिवारिक नांवों को आधुनिक मोटर बोट्स में बदलने का काम चल रहा है। मछली के उत्पादन से लेकर व्यापार तक की व्यवस्थाओं को बेहतर बनाने के लिए मछुआरों को आसान और सस्ते ऋण के लिए एक विशेष फंड बनाया गया है। इस फंड के माध्यम से करीब साढ़े सात हजार करोड़ रुपये की व्यवस्था की गई है।
भाईयों और बहनों आज गरीबों के लिए आदिवासियों के लिए, मध्यम वर्ग के लिए जितनी भी योजनाएं चल रही है उनके मूल में सबका साथ, सबका विकास यही हमारी प्रेरणा है, जबकि वो दल जिसने दशकों तक देश में सरकार चलाई, वो हर काम में अपनी या अपने परिवार की संभावनाएं देखता था। यही कारण है कि वहां काम से ज्यादा नाम पर जोर दिया गया है।
साथियों, इस पुराने सरकारी संस्कारको आदतों को हमने बदला है। हमने नाम की बजाय काम पर ध्यान दिया है। आज सरकारी योजनाओं का नाम क्या होता है आयुष्मान भारत योजना, प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना, प्रधानमंत्री उज्जवला योजना, प्रधानमंत्री मुद्रा योजना, प्रधानमंत्री जनधन योजना, प्रधानमंत्री कृषि सिंचाई योजना, ऐसी तमाम योजनाएं हैं, लेकिन कहीं पर भी मोदी का नाम नहीं है। यह दिखाता है कि हमारी नीयत जनता के विकास की है, परिवार के विकास की हमारी न संस्कृति है, न हमारा इरादा है। और मेरे लिए तो यह सवा सौ करोड़ देशवासीयही मेरा परिवार है और इन सवा सौ करोड़ देशवासियों का कल्याण यही मेरे लिए कलयाण का मार्ग है।
साथियों, यही साफ नीयत और स्पष्ट नीति इनको जरा खटक रही है। मोदी सरकारों के पुराने संस्कारों को क्यों बदल रहा है इससे इनको तकलीफ हो रही है। इन्हें दिक्कत है कि मोदी भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ इतनी कड़ी कार्रवाई क्यों कर रहा है। करना चाहिए कि नहीं करना चाहिए, भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ लड़ना चाहिए कि नहीं लड़ना चाहिए? देश को भ्रष्टाचार से मुक्ति दिलानी चाहिए कि नहीं दिलानी चाहिए? इन्हें परेशानी है कि सत्ता के गलियारों में घूमने वाले बिचौलियों को मोदी ने बाहर क्यों निकाल दिया। इन्हें गुस्सा आ रहा है कि मोदी गरीबों का अधिकार छीनने वाले, उनके राशन उनकी पेंशन, उनके मिलने वाले हक़ इसके हड़पने वाले बिचौलिए दलालों को बाहर क्यों कर रहा है। और अपने इसी गुस्से की वजह से अब यह लोग एक महागठबंधन बनाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। हालत यह है कि जो पहले कांग्रेस को पानी पी-पी कर कोसते थे, वो भी एक मंच पर आ गए हैं।
साथियों, यह महागठबंधन सिर्फ मोदी के खिलाफ ही नहीं, यह देश की जनता के भी खिलाफ है। अभी तो यह पूरी तरह सब आए भी नहींहै। लेकिन हिस्सेदारी पर कैसे मोलभाव चल रहे हैं, लेखा-जोखा चल रहा है, लेनदेन चल रही है यह भी देश का नौजवान, देश का किसान, देश की महिलाएं पहली बार वोट डालने वाला हमारे देश का युवा इन बातों को बहुत बारीकी से देख रहा है और इन लोगों की आंख में कोई धूल झोंक नहीं पाएगा।
साथियों, इन लोगों की दुनिया मोदी से नफरत से शुरू होती है और मोदी को गाली दे करके समाप्त हो जाती है। मेरी दुनिया, मेरी सुबह सवा सौ करोड़ देशवासियों के कल्याण के संकल्प के साथ होती है और दिनभर पसीना बहा करके जब रात को सोने जाता हूं, आज कितना अच्छा काम किया इसी पर लगा रहता हूं। मेरा आदि भी वही है, मेरा अंत भी वही है। इनकी दुनिया अपने परिवार को अपने भाई-भतीजों को आगे बढ़ाने पर केंद्रित है और बड़े गर्व के साथ घोषित किया जा रहा है। भाईयों-बहनों, मेरी दुनिया तो मेरे सवा सौ करोड़ देशवासी आगे बढ़े, उसी के लिए समाहित है। इनकी दुनिया में भारत के विकास के लिए विजन नहीं है। भारत के भविष्य की बात नहीं है, वहीं मेरी कोशिश भारत को 21वीं सदी में दुनिया का श्रेष्ठतम देश बनाने की है।
भाईयों और बहनों अपने परिवार, अपनी सलतनत को बचाने के लिए यह कितने गठबंधन बना लें अपने कर्मों से यह नहीं भाग सकते, उनके कुकर्म डगर-डगर पर उनका पीछा कर रहे हैं, वो बच नहीं सकते। सिर्फ मोदी का विरोध इनकी स्वार्थ की राजनीति को अखबारों में जगह दे देगा, मीडिया में चमकते रहेंगे, लेकिन देश की जनता के दिलों में, देश को तबाह करने वाले कभी भी जगह नहीं बना पाएंगे। भाईयों-बहनों आपको शायद पता नहीं है, जो लोग जनता से उखड़ जाते हैं, जनता जब उनका मिजाज बदल देती है, जब उनके पैरों की जमनी खींसकने लगती है तो आकुल-व्याकुल हो जाते हैं। अभी कलकत्ते में आप देखिए… पश्चिम बंगाल में भारतीय जनता पार्टी का सिर्फ एक MLA है, सिर्फ एक, कितने? एक, लेकिन वहां बीजेपी से बचने के लिए पूरे हिन्दुस्तान के सारे लोग इक्ट्ठे हो गए हैं। एक MLA वाली पार्टी, उसकी नींद हराम करके रख दी है, क्योंकि यह सत्य के मार्ग पर चलने वाले हम लोग हैं। एक MLA होने के बावजूद भी हिन्दुस्तान की सारी जमात वहां के इक्ट्ठे हो करके बचाओ, बचाओ, बचाओ के नारे लगा रही है। मैं पश्चिम बंगाल की जनता को बधाई देता हूं, मैं पश्चिम बंगाल की भारतीय जनता पार्टी को बधाई देता हूं एक अकेले MLA ने, इतनी छोटी सी पार्टी ने गलत काम करने वालों की नींद हराम कर दी है, उनी जमीन खिसक गई है, डर के मारे इक्ट्ठे हो रहे हैं।
भाईयों-बहनों ये लोग तानाशाह ही नहीं, पश्चिम बंगाल हो, केरल हो, डगर-डगर पर जुल्मशाही है। जिस पश्चिम बंगाल में political party को उसको कार्यक्रम करने के लिए रोक लगा दी जाती है। हर प्रकार की लोकतांत्रिक प्रक्रियाएं की जाती है। लोकतंत्र का गला घोट दिया जाता हो, फिर वहां इक्ट्ठे हो करके लोकतंत्र को बचाने के भाषण देते हैं, तब मुझे इतना ही कहना है जब पूरे पश्चिम बंगाल का चित्र देखता हूं तो मैं तो इतना ही कहूंगा कि लोकतंत्र का गला घोटने वाले पंचायत के चुनाव में नामांकन करने वालों को मौत के घाट उतारने वाले जब लोकतंत्र बचाने की बात करते हैं, तब देश के मुंह से निकलता है वाह, क्या सीन है। साथियों यह लड़ाई सकारात्मक सोच और नकारात्मक रवैये के बीच की है। यह लड़ाई विकास और भ्रष्टाचार के बीच की है, यह लड़ाई जनता और महागठबंधन के बीच की है। भाईयों और बहनों सकारात्मक सोच के साथ सही प्रयास ही नये भारत के निर्माण का रास्ता है। इसी रास्ते पर हम सभी को देश के जन-जन को तेज गति से चलना है। यह positivity नये वर्ष में हमारे मन-मस्तिष्क में देश के कौने-कौन में बढ़ रही है। इसी कामना के साथ, देश को नई ऊंचाईयों पर ले जाने के निर्णय के साथ हम आगे बढ़ रहे हैं और भाईयों-बहनों आप देख रहे हैं मैं सुबह से चल पढ़ा हूं। भारत की सेना को ‘मेक इन इंडिया’ का लाभ मिले, भारत की सेना के पास मजबूत टैंक देश से बनी हुई हो, कभी सुबह जा करके उनकी चिंता करता हूं देश की सेना, ताकत बढ़ाने के लिए तो आज अभी यहां दीव दमन में आ करके यहां की जन सुरक्षा के लिए, यहां की युवा पीढ़ी को मेडिकल कॉलेज मिले इसके लिए काम कर रहा हूं। भाईयों-बहनों कलकत्ते में लोग मिल करके दल बचाने का जुगाड़ कर रहे हैं और मैं आपके बीच आ करके देश को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए जी-जान से लगा हुआ हूं, यह फर्क साफ है दोस्तों। यह फर्क साफ है। वो खुद को बचाने के लिए सहारा ढूंढ रहे हैं, मैं देश को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए सबका साथ, सबका विकास ले करके चल पड़ा हूं और आज इतने छोटे से दीव दमन में लाखों की तादाद में आ करके आपने जो आशीर्वाद दिया, जो प्यार दिया यही हिन्दुस्तान का मिजाज़ है। यह दीव दमन यह लघु भारत है। हिन्दुस्तान का कोई कोना ऐसा नहीं है जिसके लोग यहां नहीं रहते हो। मैं अभी आ रहा था, मैं गाड़ी से आ रहा था, लेकिन दोनों तरफ एक लघु भारत मैंने देखा, हिन्दुस्तान के हर राज्य के लोग अपने-अपने पहनावे के साथ खड़े हुए थे, मैं पैदल चल के उनको प्रणाम करते हुए आपके बीच पहुंच गया भाईयों, क्योंकि हमें देश को आगे बढ़ाना है।
भाईयों-बहनों दल के लिए मरने-मिटने वाले बहुत लोग होंगे, देश के लिए मरने-मिटने वाले हम आपके सपनों को पूरा करने के लिए आपको समर्पित हैं। आपके आशीर्वाद के लिए बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद करते हुए मेरे साथ पूरी ताकत से बोलिये .

Inaugurates and Lays Foundation stones of Development Projects worth Rs. 1400 Crores Unveils IT Policy of Dadra & Nagar Haveli
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated and laid the Foundation Stone for several development projects at Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
He laid foundation Stone of Medical College in Sayli, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Prime Minister released IT policy for Dadra and Nagar Haveli. M-Aarogya mobile app and door to door waste collection, segregation and processing of Solid Waste in Dadra & Nagar Haveli was also launched. He also distributed Gold cards to beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat and distributed Van Adhikar Patra to the beneficiaries.
Addressing the public gathering Prime Minister said today inauguration or foundation stone laying of Projects worth more than Rs 1400 crore has been undertaken. He added that these projects are linked to various aspects of connectivity, infrastructure health, education etc.
He said New Industrial policy and new IT policy has been launched to give a boost to Industries.
PM reiterated his Government’s commitment for the welfare of the citizens of the country. He said, we are working on the mantra of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.
He noted that both Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli have been declared open defecation free. Both the Uts have also been declared Kerosene Free. He added that today every household in both the UTs has LPG connection, electricity connection, water connection.
PM mentioned that under Pradhan Mantri Awas yojana, poor residents of both the UTs have been allocated houses. Gold Cards have also also been issued to the people in both UTs entitled for benefits under Ayushman bharat.
He mentioned that over the past 3 years, Investment worth Rs 9000 crores has been made in both the UTs, which has led to a series of development projects. He said that with the foundation stone laying of Medical College, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu have got its first ever Medical College. He added that efforts are being taken to make Medical College functional this year itself. PM added that till date both UTs had only 15 Medical seats in a year and with the setting up of this Medical College , 150 seats will be available now. He said Medical College will provide improved medical facilities to the people.
Speaking on Ayushman Bharat, he said it is the World’s biggest Heathcare Project and everyday 10 thousand poors are accessing the benefits of this scheme. In just 100 days since its inception over 7 lakh poor patients have been benefited.
He said that Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a massive campaign to provide a permanent house to the poors in cities and villages is underway.
He said compared to previous government which built only 25 lakhs houses in 5 years, we have built more than 1 crore 25 lakh houses in 5 years.
Prime Minister also underlined that in Dadra and Nagar Haveli alone , 13000 women have been provided Free Gas Connections. He said efforts are being taken to ensure welfare of the tribal people. Under Van Dhan Yojana, Centres are being established for value addition in Forest Produce while several measures have been taken for preservation of tribal culture.
PM told that Dadra and Nagar Haveli has a huge potential for Tourism. Several initiatives are being taken to bring this area in the map of tourism.
He said under Blue revolution work is being done for increasing the income of Fishermen. A special Fund was set up to improve the fisheries sector. Rs. 7500 crores was arranged under this fund to give a boost to the sector.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 125 crore Indians are his family and he is committed to working for their welfare.
Lays Foundation stone of a Cancer hospital at Navsari
The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi dedicated L& T Armoured Systems Complex in Hazira to the nation today. He also visited the Complex and showed keen interest in the innovative spirit behind the project. Prime Minister also laid foundation stone of Nirali Cancer Hospital at Navsari. It will benefit people of the region in accessing preventive and curative aspects of cancer treatment.
With this, PM has concluded his visit to Gujarat with Silvassa and Mumbai being the next destinations of the three day visit.
Day 1 of PM visit to Gujarat was marked by the inauguration of the flagship Global Trade Show at the Exhibition centre in the run up to Vibrant Gujarat Summit. PM unveiled the state of art, super-speciality public hospital – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Ahmedabad. Addressing on the occasion, he said that in keeping up with its commitment towards equal opportunity for all and for the development – Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas is the way forward for New India.
Inauguration of Ahmedabad Shopping Festival-2019 at the Sabarmati Riverfront by the PM was yet another attraction. Speaking on the occasion, he said, the Government is constantly working to create a conducive environment for business in the country.
Day-2 of PM visit to Gujarat marked the beginning of three day long Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2019. PM Modi inaugurated the 9th edition of the Summit at Mahatma Mandir Exhibition cum Convention Centre in Gandhinagar. Addressing the Gathering on this occasion, he said doing business with India is a great opportunity.
During this period, bilateral interactions of PM with the visiting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister of Czech Republic Mr. Andrej Babis, Prime Minister of Malta Dr. Joseph Muscat and Prime Minister of Denmark Mr Lars Løkke Rasmussen was in the limelight on 18 January 2019.
