The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has welcomed the passage of the SHANTI Bill by both Houses of Parliament, describing it as a transformational moment for India’s technology landscape.
At the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman, the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi paid an Official Visit to the Sultanate of Oman from 17-18 December 2025.
His Majesty Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik conferred upon Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi the ‘Order of Oman’ award for his exceptional contribution to India-Oman ties and his visionary leadership.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today held a bilateral meeting with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in Muscat. On arrival at the Royal Palace, Prime Minister was warmly received by His Majesty and accorded a ceremonial welcome.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the closing ceremony of Second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine, on 19th December 2025 at 4:30 PM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today addressed the India–Oman Business Forum in Muscat. H.E. Qais Al Youssef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of Oman; H.E. Sheikh Faisal Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Commerce and Industry Minister of India Shri Piyush Goyal; and Shri Rajiv Memani, President of CII attended the meeting.
