Dak Unit, Prime Minister’s Office, Seva Teerth receives RTI applications related to this office and the statutory fees thereof, as prescribed under the RTI Act, 2005. Further, an RTI Wing has been set up in the PMO for processing of all the RTI applications received in this office.

2. Alternatively, RTI applications can also be preferred online at RTI Online Portal.

3. The RTI Wing accepts various fees prescribed under the Act, both in cash against a proper receipt, as well as through IPO/DD/Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of ‘Section Officer, PMO’. For online applications, the fee may be paid online.

4. The RTI Wing also facilitates the applicants by providing them information on the status of their applications and any other information required by them in connection with RTI applications filed by them in PMO. Further details of RTI Wing are given below :

Facilities available	a) Receive RTI applications addressed to PMO from the Public / through Post. b) Accept Fees in Cash and through other modes mentioned in the RTI Act, 2005. c) Facilitate applicants by providing them information about status of their applications.
Charges	Application Fee: Rs. 10/-.Additional Fees: – a) Rs. 2/- for each page in A-3 or smaller size paper; b) Actual cost or price of a photocopy in large size paper; c) Actual cost of CD or DVD; d) No fee for inspection of records for the first hour of inspection and a fee of Rs.5/- for each subsequent hour or fraction thereof; and, e) so much of postal charge involved in supply of information that exceeds Rs.50/-.
Fee Exemption	No fee shall be charged from any person who is below poverty line provided a copy of the certificate issued by the appropriate Government in this regard is submitted along with the application.
