The central government has provided immense relief to crores of salaried and middle-class individuals by announcing that there will be no tax on annual income up to ₹12 lakh. I sincerely express my gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister and Union Finance Minister for this remarkable decision. By waiving taxes on income up to ₹12 lakh, the government has dedicated ₹1 lakh crore of its revenue for the benefit of salaried and middle-class citizens.
