“My first day of shoot for the tourism campaign was in Gir. After the shoot, Narendra Bhai spoke to Mr Bachchan on the phone and then asked for me to get on the line. I took the phone expecting him to ask the typical client question, ‘How was the shoot?’ I couldn’t believe my ears when he said ‘Are my people looking after you?’ More was to follow as he said, ‘Amitabhji desh ki amaanat hain, aur aap hamari.’ I will never forget those words as a lesson in leadership.”
