Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today performed Mahapuja and Kumbhabhishek at the Somnath temple, Gujarat.

The Prime Minister expressed that receiving this great privilege is one of the most emotional and unforgettable moments of his life. He further highlighted that praying to Mahadev on the special occasion marking 75 years since the rebuilt Somnath Temple opened its doors is an unforgettable experience, adding that the Darshan and Pujan is a source of boundless spiritual energy.

In a series of posts on X, the Prime Minister wrote:

“सोमनाथ की भव्य और दिव्य पावन धरा पर महादेव के चरणों में महापूजा और कुंभाभिषेक का परम सौभाग्य प्राप्त करना जीवन के अत्यंत भावपूर्ण और अविस्मरणीय क्षणों में से एक है। ईश्वर रूपी जनता जनार्दन का स्मरण करते हुए महादेव के दर्शन और पूजन का यह अलौकिक अवसर, हृदय को अनंत आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा, श्रद्धा और शिवमय चेतना से अभिभूत कर गया है।”
