ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਕ ਲੇਖ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਜਲ-ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਮਾਡਲ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸਾਊਥ ਲਈ ਉਪਯੋਗੀ ਸਬਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਲ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੇਵਲ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਤੱਕ ਹੀ ਸੀਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ, ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ।
ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲ ਸੁਧਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਧਦੀਆਂ ਜਲ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।”

ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਜਲ-ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਮਾਡਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸਾਊਥ ਲਈ ਉਪਯੋਗੀ ਸਬਕ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜਲ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਕੇਵਲ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ, ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਵਿਵਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲ ਸੁਧਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਧਦੀਆਂ ਜਲ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
