Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today congratulated Sawan Barwal on winning a historic Silver medal in the Men’s Marathon at the Asian Games.

The Prime Minister stated that this achievement, marking a new National Record and India’s first medal in this event in over four decades, is even more special as it is the country’s first-ever Asian Games marathon medal won outside India.
