PM shares glimpses of participation in the Bagurumba Dwhou program in Guwahati, Assam


Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today shared glimpses of his participation in the Bagurumba Dwhou 2026, a historic cultural event celebrating the rich heritage of the Bodo community at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati.

In a series of posts on X, Shri Modi wrote:

“Being among my sisters and brothers of Guwahati for the Bagurumba Dwhou programme is an experience I’ll always cherish. This programme showcased the glorious Bodo culture. My compliments to all those who participated in this historic programme.”

“Spectacular Bagurumba Dwhou programme in Guwahati!”

“Today, Assam marks Silpi Diwas, in homage of Rupkonwar Jyoti Prasad Agarwala. He was a cultural stalwart of Assam, whose works have left a lasting impression on the minds of the Assamese people. His life has inspired countless people to excel in theatre, films, music and other cultural pursuits.

During the programme in Guwahati, I paid homage to him.”

“বাগৰুম্বা দহৌ অনুষ্ঠানৰ বাবে গুৱাহাটীৰ মোৰ ভাই-ভনীসকলৰৰ মাজত উপস্থিত থকাৰ এই অভিজ্ঞতা মই সদায় মনত ৰাখিম৷  এই অনুষ্ঠানে গৌৰৱময় বড়ো সংস্কৃতি প্ৰদৰ্শন কৰিছে ।  এই ঐতিহাসিক কাৰ্যসূচীত অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰা সকলোলৈ মই অভিনন্দন জনাইছো।”

“কংগ্ৰেছে অসম তথা সমগ্ৰ উত্তৰ-পূৰ্বাঞ্চলক সদায় অৱহেলাৰ দৃষ্টিৰে চাই আহিছে।

ইয়াৰ বিপৰীতে, এনডিএয়ে কেৱল আৱেগিক দূৰত্বৰ সেতুবন্ধন কৰাই নহয়, উন্নত আন্তঃগাঁথনিৰ জৰিয়তে সমগ্ৰ অঞ্চলটোক উন্নয়নৰ মূলসুঁতিৰ সৈতেও সংযোগ কৰিছে।”

“গুৱাহাটীত দৰ্শনীয় বাগৰুম্বা দহৌ অনুষ্ঠান!”

“আজি, অসমত ৰূপকোঁৱৰ জ্যোতিপ্ৰসাদ আগৰৱালাক শ্ৰদ্ধাঞ্জলি জনাই শিল্পী দিৱস পালন কৰা হয়।  তেওঁ অসমৰ সাংস্কৃতিক জগতৰ  মহীৰূহ আছিল, যাৰ সৃষ্টিৰাজিয়ে অসমীয়া মানুহৰ মনত চিৰস্থায়ী ছাপ পেলাইছে।  তেওঁৰ জীৱনে অগণন লোকক থিয়েটাৰ, চলচ্চিত্ৰ, সংগীত আৰু অন্যান্য সাংস্কৃতিক সাধনাত পাৰদৰ্শিতা দেখুৱাবলৈ অনুপ্ৰাণিত কৰিছে।

গুৱাহাটীত অনুষ্ঠানৰ সময়ত তেওঁলৈ শ্ৰদ্ধাঞ্জলি জনালো।”
