ପିଏମଇଣ୍ଡିଆ
ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ ସୋମବାର ଅପରାହ୍ନରେ ୱାଶିଂଟନ ଡିସିଠାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଛନ୍ତି । ସେଠାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପରେ ପରେ ଆର୍ଲିଙ୍ଗଟନ କବରସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଇ ଅଜ୍ଞାତ ସୈନିକମାନଙ୍କ ସମାଧିରେ ପୁଷ୍ପମାଲ୍ୟ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲେ ।
ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ପରେ ମହାକାଶଯାନ କଲମ୍ବିଆ ସ୍ମାରକୀକୁ ଯାଇ ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞଳି ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ କଲମ୍ବିଆ ମହାକାଶଯାନ ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣାରେ ନିହତ ଭାରତୀୟ ବଂଶୋଦ୍ଭବ ମହାକାଶଚାରୀ କଳ୍ପାନ ଚାୱଲାଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ଜାଁ ପିଏରୀ ହାରିସନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ । ସେହିପରି ଅନ୍ୟତମ ଭାରତୀୟ ବଂଶୋଦ୍ଭବ ମହାକାଶଚାରୀ ସୁନୀତା ୱିଲିୟମ୍ସ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ବେଳେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ ।
ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ୱାଶିଂଟନ ଡିସିରେ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଭାରତୀୟ ବିଗ୍ରହ ଫେରାଇଦେବା ଲାଗି ଉଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ସମାରୋହରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଆମେରିକା ୧୨ଟି ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କଳାତ୍ମକ ବିଗ୍ରହ ଭାରତକୁ ହସ୍ତାନ୍ତର କରିଥିବାବେଳେ ମୋଟ ୨୦୦ଟି ଏପ୍ରକାର ଦୁର୍ମୂଲ୍ୟ ବିଗ୍ରହ ଫେରାଇବା ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି ବୋଲି ଆମେରିକାର ଏଟର୍ନି ଜେନେରାଲ ଲୋରେଟ ଲିଂଚ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲେ । ସମାରୋହରେ ଉଦବୋଧନ ଦେଇ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ ଐତିହ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର –ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଏକତାର ବନ୍ଧନରେ ବାନ୍ଧି ରଖିବାର ଏକ ସୂତ୍ର । କେତେକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏହି କଳାତ୍ମକ ବିଗ୍ରହର ହିସାବ ଅର୍ଥରେ କରାଯାଇଥାଏ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଭାରତରେ କଳାକୁ ଭିନ୍ନ ଢଙ୍ଗରେ ଦେଖାଯାଏ କାରଣ ଏହା ଭାରତୀୟ ସଂସ୍କୃତି, ପରମ୍ପରା ଓ ଐତିହ୍ୟର ଅବିଚ୍ଛେଦ୍ୟ ଅଙ୍ଗ ।
ୱାଶିଂଟନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବ୍ରୁକିଂ ସଂସ୍ଥାନ, ଆଟଲାଣ୍ଟିକ ପରିଷଦ ଏବଂ କାର୍ନେଜୀ ଏଣ୍ଡାଓମେଣ୍ଟ ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତିକ ଶାନ୍ତି ସଙ୍ଗଠନ ସମେତ ମାର୍କିନ ବୁଦ୍ଧିଜୀବୀ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଙ୍କ ସହ ମତ ବିନିମୟ କରିଥିଲେ ।
