ಸೆಶೆಲ್ಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಘನತೆವೆತ್ತ ಡಾ. ಪ್ಯಾಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಹರ್ಮಿನಿ ಅವರ ಆಹ್ವಾನದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರು ಇಂದು ಸೆಶೆಲ್ಸ್ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ 50ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸೆಶೆಲ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಮೊದಲ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಭಾರತ ಮತ್ತು ಸೆಶೆಲ್ಸ್ ನಡುವೆ ರಾಜತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯ 50ನೇ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಕಾಕತಾಳೀಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥ, ಸೆಶೆಲ್ಸ್ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಪರೇಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಶಸ್ತ್ರ ಪಡೆಗಳ ತುಕಡಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದವು.
ಭಾರತೀಯ ತುಕಡಿಯು ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ರೈಫಲ್ಸ್, ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಚಿಂಗ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಇದು ಉಭಯ ದೇಶಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಚರಣೆಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ನೌಕಾಪಡೆಯ ಹಡಗುಗಳಾದ ತರ್ಕಾಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇಕ್ಷಕ್ ವಿಕ್ಟೋರಿಯಾ ಬಂದರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಲಂಗರು ಹಾಕಿದವು.
ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅವರ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯು ಉಭಯ ದೇಶಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಆಳವಾದ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಸ್ನೇಹವನ್ನು ಬಿಂಬಿಸಿತು.
