ਅੱਜ ਯੂਨਾਈਟਿਡ ਸਟੇਟਸ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ਕੌਂਸਲ (ਯੂਐੱਸਆਈਬੀਸੀ) ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੰਬਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਆਈਡੀਆ ਫੋਰਮ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਵੱਲੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ 500 ਬਿਲੀਅਨ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੀਐੱਸਆਰ (CSR) ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਰਥਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ।
ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੁਧਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਲੇਖ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਕ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਸਾਂਝੀਆਂ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਲੇਖ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਆਦਾਨ-ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ।
