2014వ సంవత్సరానికి గాను గాం|ధీ శాంతి బహుమతి పొందిన ఇస్రో కి భారత ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ అభినందనలు తెలిపారు. గాంధీ శాంతి బహుమతి ఇస్రో అందుకున్న సందర్భంగా ప్రధాని మాట్లాడుతూ ఈ బహుమతి శాస్త్రవేత్తల తరతరాల కష్టానికి ప్రతిఫలమని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఇస్రో సాధించిన విజయాలు మానవ జాతి, శాంతి సౌభ్రాతత్వాలతో వెలుగొందేందుకు గొప్ప ఉదాహరణలని ప్రధాని పేర్కొన్నారు.
