પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે સીંગાપોરના પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રીલી ઝીએન લૂંગને સીંગાપોર ટાપુના ૧૮૪૯ના અરસાના એક ખૂબજ જૂના નકશાની પ્રતિકૃતિ ભેટ આપી હતી. બાવન ઈંચ પહોળો અને બાવન ઈંચ લાંબો આ વિશાળ નકશો ૧૮૪૨-૪૫માં હાથ ધરાએલી એક મોજણી-સર્વે-ઉપર આધારિત છે. આ નકશામાં, સીંગાપોર નગરની આસપાસના નીચાણવાળા વિસ્તારમાં પાણીના ઝરણાંની ભરતીની સપાટી ઉપરના વિસ્તારોમાંના વિવિધ સ્થળોની ભોગોલિક વિગતો દર્શાવાઈ છે અને એવું વર્ણન આપવામાં આવ્યું છે. નકશાની આ પ્રતિકૃતિ, ભારતના દફતરનાખાનાના નકશાઓના સંગ્રહ ઉપરથી તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલી છે.
