1971ല് പൊരുതിയ ധീര യോദ്ധാക്കളെ വിജയ് ദിവസത്തില് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അനുസ്മരിച്ചു.
‘വിജയ ദിവസമായ ഇന്ന്, 1971ല് പോരാടിയ ധീരരായ ഭടന്മാരുടെ അജയ്യമായ ആവേശം നാം അനുസ്മരിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ ചാഞ്ചല്യമില്ലാത്ത ധൈര്യവും ദേശസ്നേഹവും നമ്മുടെ രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെ സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തി. അവരുടെ സേവനം ഓരോ ഇന്ത്യക്കാരനെയും ആവേശം കൊള്ളിക്കും’, പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
