पंजाबमधल्या फटाक्यांच्या कारखान्याला लागलेल्या आगीतल्या जीवितहानीबद्दल पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी दु:ख व्यक्त केले आहे.
या दु:खदायक घटनेतल्या मृतांच्या कुटुंबियांचा पंतप्रधानांनी सांत्वन केले असून या दुर्घटनेतल्या जखमींच्या प्रकृतीत लवकरच सुधारणा व्हावी असेही पंतप्रधानांनी म्हटले आहे. दुर्घटनास्थळी संबंधित यंत्रणांकडून बचावकार्य सुरू असल्याचे पंतप्रधानांनी सांगितले.
