ప్రధానమంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఈ రోజు జెరూసలేంలో ఇజ్రాయెల్ ప్రధానమంత్రి శ్రీ బెన్జమిన్ నెతన్యాహుతో కలిసి ప్రపంచ హోలోకాస్ట్ స్మారక కేంద్రం – యాద్ వషేమ్ – ను సందర్శించి, హోలోకాస్ట్ బాధితులకు నివాళులర్పించారు. అక్కడి స్మృతి మందిరంలో జరిగిన ఒక నివాళి కార్యక్రమంలో ప్రధానమంత్రి పాల్గొన్నారు. అక్కడ కాంటర్ ఆలపించిన ‘ఎల్ మలే రహిమీమ్’ అనే హృదయవిదారకమైన ప్రార్థన గీతంతో ఈ కార్యక్రమం సాగింది. అనంతరం, ప్రధానమంత్రి ‘బుక్ ఆఫ్ నేమ్స్ హాల్‘ ను సందర్శించారు. ఇక్కడ హోలోకాస్ట్ బాధితుల వ్యక్తిగత గాథలను ప్రదర్శించారు.
ఈ సందర్శన భారత్, ఇజ్రాయెల్ ప్రజల మధ్య ఉన్న ప్రగాఢమైన భావోద్వేగ బంధాన్ని, మానవీయ విలువల పట్ల ఉన్న ఉమ్మడి నిబద్ధతను చాటింది.
