ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ సిక్కిం, అస్సాంలలో రెండు రోజుల పాటు పర్యటించడం కోసం బయలుదేరి వెళ్తున్నారు. ఈ రోజు (18 జనవరి) మధ్యాహ్నానికి గంగ్ టోక్ కు చేరుకొని, అక్కడ ఏర్పాటు చేసిన పండ్ల మొక్కల, పుష్ప జాతుల ప్రదర్శనను తిలకిస్తారు.
స్థిరమైన అభివృద్ధి, సేంద్రియ వ్యవసాయం, ఎకో- టూరిజం అంశాలపై గంగ్ టోక్ లో ఏర్పాటైన రాష్ర్టాల వ్యవసాయ మంత్రుల సమావేశానికి ప్రధాన మంత్రి హాజరవుతారు. ఆ సమావేశాన్ని ఉద్దేశించి ఆయన ప్రసంగించడంతో పాటు, సమావేశంలో ఆయన సుమారు రెండు గంటలకు పైగా పాలు పంచుకొనే అవకాశం కూడా ఉంది.
గంగ్ టోక్ లో రేపు (19 జనవరి) ఒక సేంద్రియ ఉత్పత్తుల ప్రదర్శనను ప్రధాని వీక్షిస్తారు. ఆ సందర్భంగా ఆయన అక్కడ సేంద్రియ రైతులతో సంభాషిస్తారు.
ఆ తరువాత ప్రధాని శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ అస్సాం కు బయలుదేరి వెళతారు.
ఐఐఐటీ గౌహతి కోసం నిర్మించే నూతన భవనానికి ప్రధాన మంత్రి శంకుస్థాపన చేస్తారు. ఈశాన్య ప్రాంత ఐఐటీ, ఎన్ఐటీ, కేంద్రీయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలకు చెందిన విద్యార్థులను ఉద్దేశించి ఆయన ప్రసంగిస్తారు.
