نئی دہلی۔ 11 نومبر وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی وارانسی میں 12 نومبر 2018 کو 34 کلو میٹر طویل اور 1571.95 کروڑ روپے کی لاگت سے تعمیر کیے گئے دو اہم قومی شاہراہوں کو قوم کے نام منسوب کریں گے ۔ ان کے ہمراہ اتر پردیش کے گورنر جناب رام نائک ، روڈ ٹرانسپورٹ و قومی شاہراہوں ، جہاز رانی ، آبی وسائل ، دریا ؤں کی ترقی اور گنگا کے احیاء کے مرکزی وزیر جناب نتن گڈکری اور اتر پردیش کے وزیر اعلی جناب یوگی آدتیہ ناتھ بھی ہوں گے ۔ اس تقریب کا انعقاد وارانسی ، اتر پردیش میں واقع تیراہا ، ہر دووا رِنگ روڈ پر سہ پہر ہوگا ۔
16.55 کلو میٹر طویل وارانسی رِنگ روڈ کا پہلا مرحلہ 759.36 کروڑ روپے کی لاگت سے مکمل ہوا ہے جبکہ قومی شاہراہ -56 پر 17.25 کلو میٹر بابت پور –وارانسی روڈ کی تعمیر اور چار راہداریوں کے کام میں 812.59 کروڑ روپے کی لاگت آئی۔
بابت پور ایر پورٹ شاہراہ وارانی کو ایر پورٹ سے جوڑےگی اور جونپور، سلطانپور اور لکھنؤ تک جائے گی۔ ہرہوامیں ایک فلائی اوور ترنا میں ایک آر او بی والی اس سڑک سے وارانسی سے ایر پورٹ تک سفر کرنے کے وقت میں کمی آئے گی۔ اس سے وارانسی کے لوگوں، سیاحوں اور شہر آنے والے زائرین کو بڑی راحت ملے گی۔
دو آر او بی اور ایک فلائی اوور والی یہ رِنگ روڈ قومی شاہراہ 59 (لکھنؤتا وارانسی)، قومی شاہراہ 233 (اعظم گڑھ تا وارانسی)، قومی شاہراہ 29 (گورکھپور تا وارانسی) اور ایودھیا –وارانسی شاہراہوں پر آمد و رفت اور وارانسی سے گزرنے کی سہولیات فراہم کرے گی۔ اس سے شہر میں آمدورفت سے ہونے والی بھیڑ میں کمی آئے گی۔ اس سے سفر کے وقت ، ایندھن کے استعمال ، علاقےکی آلودگی میں میں بھی کمی آئے گی۔ یہ رِنگ روڈ سے بودھ مت کے زائرین کے ایک اہم مقام سارناتھ تک جانے والوں کو آسانی ہوگی ۔
مذکورہ منصوبوں سے روزگار کے مواقع ، چھوٹی اور درمیانہ صنعتوں کی ترقی میں اضافہ ہوگا اور علاقے میں اقتصادی ترقی کو فروغ حاصل ہوگا۔ فی الحال 63.885 کروڑ روپے کی لاگت سے بننے والی 2833 کلو میٹر طویل قومی شاہراہوں کے منصوبے مشرقی اتر پردیش کے دیگر مقامات کو وارانسی سے جوڑنے کے لیے نفاذ کے مرحلے میں ہیں۔
وزیر اعظم وارانسی میں گنگا ندی کے کنارے آبی گزرگاہوں کے ٹرمینل کو بھی قوم کے نام وقف کریں گے۔ اِن لینڈ واٹر ویز اتھاریٹی آف انڈیا کے عالمی بینک کے تعاون سے آبی گزرگاہوں کی ترقی کے منصوبے کے طور پر این ڈبلیو-1 (گنگا ندی) پر تعمیر کیے جارہے چار ملٹی ماڈل ٹرمینل میں سے یہ پہلا ٹرمینل ہے ۔ تین دیگر ٹرمینل صاحب گنج، ہلدیا اور غازی پور میں زیر تعمیر ہیں۔ اس منصوبے سے گنگا ندی میں 1500-2000 ڈی ڈبلیو ٹی صلاحیت والے جہازوں کی تجارتی سمت شناسی میں مدد ملے گی ۔
وزیر اعظم آبی گزرگاہوں کے جہاز پر بھیجی گئی ملک کی پہلی (آزادی کے بعد) کنٹینر کھیپ کو بھی وصول کریں گے۔ اس کھیپ میں پیپسیکو کمپنی کے کھانے اور پینے کے سامان شامل ہیں، جو اکتوبر کے آخری ہفتے میں کولکتہ سے روانہ ہو ا ہے۔

The 16.55 km Varanasi Ring Road Phase-I has been completed at a cost of Rs 759.36 crore, while the work of four-laning and construction of 17.25 km Babatput-Varanasi road on NH-56 has cost Rs 812.59 crore.

The Ring Road, with two ROBs and a flyover, will provide a way for traffic on NH 56 (Lucknow-Varanasi), NH 233 ( Azamgarh-Varanasi), NH 29 ( Gorakhpur-Varanasi ) and Ayodhya – Varanasi highways to by pass Varanasi city, thereby reducing traffic congestion in the city.

This will reduce travel time, fuel usage and pollution in the area. The Ring Road will provide easier and more convenient access to Sarnath, an important site for Buddhist pilgrimage.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation an inland waterways terminal on river Ganga in Varanasi. This is the first of the four multi modal terminals being constructed on NW-I ( River Ganga) as part of the World Bank aided Jal Marg Vikas project.
