जम्मू आणि काश्मीरचे मुख्यमंत्री ओमर अब्दुल्ला यांनी गुजरातमधील साबरमती नदीकिनाऱ्याला आणि केवडिया येथील प्रतिष्ठित स्टॅच्यू ऑफ युनिटीला नुकत्याच दिलेल्या भेटीबद्दल पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी त्यांचे कौतुक केले आहे.
जम्मू आणि काश्मीरचे मुख्यमंत्री ओमर अब्दुल्ला यांच्या एक्स या सामाजिक माध्यमावरील संदेशाला प्रत्युत्तर देताना पंतप्रधान म्हणाले की,

उमर अब्दुल्ला यांना साबरमती नदीकाठावर धावण्याचा आनंद घेताना आणि स्टॅच्यू ऑफ युनिटीला भेट देताना पाहून आनंद झाला. त्यांची स्टॅच्यू ऑफ युनिटीला दिलेली भेट एकात्मतेचा महत्त्वपूर्ण संदेश देते. भारतीयांना देशाच्या  विविध भागांना भेट देण्यासाठी  यातून प्रेरणा मिळेल.  @OmarAbdullah”
