प्रख्यात अभिनेते अनंत नाग यांना ‘दादासाहेब फाळके पुरस्कार’ जाहीर झाल्याबद्दल पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी त्यांचे अभिनंदन केले आहे., अनेक दशकांपासून अनंत नाग जी यांनी आपला सहजसुंदर अभिनय, चतुरस्र आणि उत्कृष्ट कलागुणांनी भारतीय चित्रपटसृष्टीवर, विशेषतः कन्नड चित्रपटसृष्टीवर ठसा उमटवला आहे, असे मोदी यांनी त्यांचे अभिनंदन करताना म्हटले आहे.

पंतप्रधानांनी म्हटले की, त्यांना मिळालेला हा सन्मान अत्यंत यथोचित असून या रुपाने अनंत नाग जी यांनी भारतीय चित्रपटसृष्टीसाठी दिलेले अत्यंत मोलाचे योगदान स्पष्ट झाले आहे. या विशेष क्षणानिमित्त त्यांनी या ख्यातनाम कलाकाराला शुभेच्छाही दिल्या.

On the recommendation of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Selection Committee, the Government of India is pleased to announce that the Actor will be conferred the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2024 for his contribution to Indian cinema and an illustrious cinematic journey that has inspired generations.

Congratulations to the legendary Anant Nag Ji on being conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

For several decades, his effortless performances, remarkable versatility and brilliance have left a very strong mark on Indian cinema, particularly Kannada cinema. In whichever role he has played, he brought rare depth and authenticity.

This is indeed a richly deserved honour for a truly distinguished artist.
