பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடி அவர்கள், அசாம் அமைச்சரவை பதவியேற்பு நிகழ்ச்சியில் பங்கு கொண்டிருந்த ஏராளமானோர் இடையே உரையாற்றினார்.
திரு சர்பானந்தா சோனோவால் அவர்களையும், அசாம் மக்களையும், பழங்குடியின இனத்திலிருந்து சமுதாயத்துக்கு சேவை செய்வதற்காகவே உள்ள ஒரு முதலமைச்சரை தேர்ந்தெடுத்ததற்கு பாராட்டு தெரிவித்தார் பிரதமர்.
புதிய அரசு மக்களோடு இணைந்து பணியாற்றி மக்களுக்கு சேவையாற்றும், வளர்ச்சியை உறுதி செய்யும் என்று நம்புவதாக பிரதமர் கூறினார்.
மாநிலங்களோடு கூட்டு குடியரசு முறை மற்றும் மாநிலங்களை முழு அளவில் பங்கேற்க வைப்பது என்ற கொள்கையின் கீழ் செயல்படுவதாக பிரதமர் தெரிவித்தார். ஜனநாயகம் என்பது பங்கேற்பு குறித்தது என்று கூறிய பிரதமர், மத்திய அரசும் மாநில அரசும் வளர்ச்சிக்காக இணைந்து பயணிக்க வேண்டும் என்று விருப்பம் தெரிவித்தார். நாடு முழுமையாக வளர்ச்சி அடைய வேண்டும் குறிப்பாக கிழக்குப் பகுதி முன்னேற வேண்டும் என்று பிரதமர் கூறினார்.
