ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ജല-ഭരണ മാതൃക വിശാലമായ ‘ഗ്ലോബൽ സൗത്ത്’ മേഖലയ്ക്ക് എങ്ങനെ പ്രയോജനകരമായ പാഠങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്നു എന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഒരു ലേഖനം പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പങ്കുവെച്ചു. അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കുന്നത് മാത്രമല്ല ജലസുരക്ഷയെന്നും, മറിച്ച് മികച്ച ആസൂത്രണം, ശക്തമായ പ്രാദേശിക സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ, ജലപരിപാലനത്തിൽ ജനപങ്കാളിത്തം ഉറപ്പാക്കൽ എന്നിവയും അതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നുവെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി പറഞ്ഞു.
“ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ജലപരിഷ്കരണ നടപടികൾ മുതൽ വിപുലമായ ദേശീയ പദ്ധതികൾ വരെയുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഈ യാത്ര, ജലപരിപാലനം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താനും വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്ന ജല ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റാനും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു പ്രായോഗിക മാതൃകയാണ്,” ശ്രീ മോദി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
